Tea Heaven Asia began in 2016 as a community-based business in the tea highlands of West Java, Indonesia. Surrounded by rolling gardens established during the Dutch colonial era, West Java has long been one of Asia’s most important tea-producing regions.
For generations, these estates and smallholder communities have cultivated teas that are quietly exported around the world, often enjoyed without their origins ever being known.
Growing up within this landscape, our founders witnessed both the beauty of the gardens and the dedication of the people behind them—pluckers, artisans, and producers whose skills shaped teas served in international markets, hotels, and brands across the globe. Starting with close relationships in West Java, we began working directly with tea gardens and local communities to curate their best harvests and share them under a name that honors both craft and place.
From this foundation, our journey expanded across Asia—connecting with tea gardens in Japan and China. Together we are a close-knit team of family, garden owners, crafters and tea processing company — the garden direct approach allows us to offer transparent pricing without compromising quality.
